Bambarakanda Falls – Sri Lanka’s Majestic Natural Wonder Near Our Faculty

Bambarakanda Falls, also known as Bambarakele Ella, is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka, with a majestic drop of 263 meters. It flows as a single vertical cascade down a rocky cliff, surrounded by tall pine trees and misty mountain air. The fall is formed by the Kuda Oya, a branch of the Walawe River, and is part of the rich Horton Plains ecosystem. The sight and sound of water plunging from such a great height creates a breathtaking experience for visitors.
