Undergraduate Programmes
This is the primary medical qualification awarded by SUSL to practice as a medical doctor in the country. Currently, the course follows the traditional curriculum with three phases of teaching, namely: preclinical phase, para clinical phase, and clinical phase. Teaching/learning activities are based on student-centered teaching, which provides both theoretical knowledge with practical skills in laboratories, the community as well as in hospital settings. Students are given the opportunity to complete a research project of their choice during the course. Ratnapura Teaching hospital is the teaching hospital attached to the university.
