Learning Outcomes of the PPD Programme
At the completion of this course, the students should be able to:
- demonstrate effective skills personal development and in interpersonal relations and use learning skills to foster continuous self-improvement and collaboration.
- respond to patients’ fears, beliefs, and expectations, and to develop skills by integrating their physical, social, psychological, spiritual needs, and cultural beliefs into patient-centred care.
- communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals in both hospital and community settings, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- identify, analyze, and resolve ethical issues using critical thinking in ethical sociology-cultural framework to make appropriate and sound decision-making.
- evaluate professional skills, demonstrating adaptability, leadership, and integrity in healthcare practice.
- analyze team dynamics and contribute proactively as an effective member of the healthcare team, fostering teamwork and facilitating shared decision-making.
- evaluate and integrate kindness, understanding, tolerance, compassion, empathy, and humaneness into professional practice to address diverse patient needs and improve healthcare outcomes.
