Duwili Ella
Samanala Dam is the third largest hydroelectric project in Sri Lanka and is located near Balangoda. It is in close proximity to Walawe river and Belihul Oya. It is famously known for the leak of the dam, which was later used to nourish agricultural areas. Despite the issues in construction, it still remains an exceptional area of attraction.
Duwili Ella
Duwili Ella, sometimes called Walawe Ganga East Falls, is a captivating waterfall about 40 meters high located in Thanjantenna village, near Kalthota in the Ratnapura District. Its name, Duwili, means “dust” in Sinhala—aptly describing the misty spray that surrounds the cascade, giving it an ethereal veil-like appearance.
