Sinharaja is a tropical rain forest encircled by Ratnapura, Galle and Matara districts. This evergreen land is the home for many endemic trees and rare species and indeed a World Heritage site. From gurgling streams of water to sky scrapping barks of green, this land of flora and fauna is a library for biologists and a breath-taking hotspot for any adventure junkie. Due to the landscape and the acres in which it is laid across, its climate ranges from 19 to 34 C. Though it used to be relatively uninhabited, as heart-breaking as it is, that may not be the situation in years to come due to unjustifiable actions of mankind. Hence, enjoy this biosphere while you can but remember to preserve the soil and leave its blissful offspring untouched.
