The current Surgery Professorial appointment is conducted at Rathnapura Teaching Hospital Ward 10 and 16. 

Community -based Learning – Home & Community visits

The students are expected to visit the homes of selected patients during their surgical appointments ( 2nd Surgery & Professorial Surgery) and make short presentations to the entire group of students. The Department of Surgery will collaborate with the Department of Community Medicine and other clinical departments and define the learning outcomes for these activities.
