COURSE STRUCTURE
- Year 2 Semester 4: Lectures – 33 hours
- Year 3 Semester 5 to Year 3 Semester 6: Lectures – 57 hours
- Year 4 Semester 7: Lectures – 23 hours
Assessments
Continuous (In Course) Assessments
- Two Continuous assessments will be held, each at the end of semester 4 and 5.
- Continuous assessment 1 (15 T/F MCQs + 5 SBA) 1 hour and 15 min = 10
- Continuous assessment 2 (15 T/F MCQs + 5 SBA) 1 hour and 15 min = 10
Eligibility to appear for the End of Course Assessments
- Minimum of 80% attendance for small group discussions (Tutorials) should be there.
- Students should sit all two continuous (In Course) assessments before the 3rd MBBS part 2 examination. No student can omit either of the continuous (end semester) assessments under any circumstances. In case of an illness, a valid Medical Certificate with University Medical Officers approval should be submitted for Medical Board approval.
End of Course Assessments
- Multiple choice question paper (20 T/F MCQ’s + 20 SBA) 2 hours = 40
- Structured Essay Questions (4 SEQ) 2 hours = 40
- Continuous (In Course) Assessments (Professorial Appointment) 10+10 = 20
- Total = 100
For Repeat Students, since there will not be any in course assessments marks
- Multiple choice question paper (20 T/F MCQ’s + 20 SBA) 2 hours = 60
- Structured Essay Questions (4 SEQ) 2 hours = 40
- Total =100
