Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and Colombo Stock Exchange Signs MOU to Strengthen Collaboration

Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka through University Business Linkage Cell entered into a three-year Memorandum of Understating with the Colombo Stock Exchange on 29th November 2022. The collaborative partnership is, thus, initiated to mutually and more effectively promote the Sri Lankan capital market and bring up internship opportunities for the students who engaged with Financial Management related degree programs.

Completing the MOU Signing formalities, Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor R.M.U.S.K. Rathnayake, represented Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka while Mr. Niroshan Wijesundere, Senior Vice President (Marketing), represented the Colombo Stock Exchange. The MoU was witnessed by Prof. W.K.A.C. Gnanapala, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, and Prof. D.A.I. Dayaratne, Director, University Business Linkage Cell representing the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Mr. Nishantha Batagalla, Manager of the Branch Network and Mr. R.M. Sivananthan, Branch Manager of the Ratnapura Branch witnessed the agreement representing the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The momentous signing ceremony was held in the presence of Head - Department of Accountancy & Finance, Prof. D.G. Dharmarathna, Head - Department of Marketing Management, Mr. D Jasingha, Registrar of the University - Mr. Saman Uyangoda, faculty academic members, and honored guests.
