UNDERGRADUATE CAREER FAIR 2022
The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) successfully hosted the Undergraduate Career Fair 2022 under the AHEAD Project of the Faculty in collaboration with the Employers Federation of Ceylon and the Faculty Alumni Association on the 14th of March 2022 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). The event was graced by Prof.Athula C.Gnapala, Dean, FMS, SUSL; Mr.Achintha Ekanayaka, Head, Department of Business Management, FMS, SUSL; Dr. T.U.I.Pieris, Activity Coordinator, Faculty Ahead project, SUSL; Mr.Hiran Dinusha, Coordinator, Practical Training Unit, FMS, SUSL; Mr. Pasindu Ginigaddara, Chairman, Alumni Association, FMS, SUSL; Mr. Jagath Wijesekara, External Member to the Faculty Board of Management Studies, SUSL and Dr. Thissa Jayaweera, Former Chairman of Hilton. The Undergraduate Career Fair is a unique event in the faculty calendar and was organized with the key objective to help the undergraduates of FMS, SUSL from various management disciplines to achieve their goals in securing future job opportunities and internships.
The Fair featured twenty-one well-reputed organizations representing diverse industries including; Walkers Tours Limited, Beyond Escapes, Olanka Travels, Hilton Colombo, Lanka Talents Creation (PVT) Ltd, American Premium Water System (PVT) Ltd, Sampath Bank, Ceylinco General Insurance Ltd, Premium Ceylon, Gamma Pizzakraft Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, DFCC Bank PLC, Mobizz Recruitment, HNB Assurance & HNB General Insurance, Janashakthi Insurance, AIA Insurance, Atlas Axillia Co. (Pvt) Ltd, MAS Holdings, Career 360, Best Life, Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL), and DSI providing opportunities for the undergraduates to choose the best career option for themselves. Over a hundred undergraduates checked into the event and a majority of undergraduates securing their placements with the industry experts exemplified the success of the Fair.
