Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) signs MOU with the Faculty of Management Studies Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka

 

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka strengthens the cross-sector partnerships by signing MOUs with professional bodies and industry giants to develop an integrative approach to knowledge production and dissemination.

By remarking another historical milestone, The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (CIPM) and the Faculty of Management Studies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties. The prime purpose of signing this MOU is to promote and develop the principles, techniques and practices of Human Resource Management to optimize the utilization of Human Resource at the National and International Levels. Furthermore, the MoU ensures the acceptance of prior learning recognition /exemption plan for students from both Institutes and collaborative research work relating to Human Resource Management topics to contribute to the National Development.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ken Vijayakumar the Vice President of CIPM and Professor Udaya Rathnayake the Vice Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. To glorify the ceremony, high level dignitaries of CIPM including Mr. Jayantha Amarasinghe - President CIPM, Chartered FCIPM, Dr. Neil Bogahalande, Councilmember, Mr U A C Obeysekere CEO / Chief Officer, Director Business School, Mr. G. Weerathunge - Chief Officer / Director - Professional & Academic Affairs, Office  Bearers of Council  of CIPM, Council Members, Members of Professional and Academic Committee and Head  of Divisions of CIPM presented virtually. The momentous signing ceremony was held in the virtual presence of Professor Athula C Gnanapala, The Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies, Mr Achintha Ekanayake, The Head of the Department, Department of Business Management, Dr Rasika Priyankara, Senior Lecturer and other academic staff members of the Faculty of Management Studies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. The unitedly agreed efforts of the MOU are spearheaded towards accomplishing highly ambitious and mutually beneficial envisioned achievements of both renowned institutions.
