The Faculty of Computing is pleased to announce that Professor B.T.G.S. Kumara has been honoured with the prestigious award for the Best Researcher of the Faculty of Computing of the Year 2023 and recognized for Excellence in Top-Tier Journal Publications (Q1), presented during the 28^th University Day Celebrations of SUSL held on 2^nd of February 2024.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Pubudu Jayasena, a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Computing and Information Systems, Faculty of Computing, SUSL, for winning the President’s Award for Scientific Research 2019.

We are pleased to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Saleem Adeeba for winning the Best Undergraduate Researcher of Computing Gold Medal, awarded by the Department of Computing and Information Systems, at the 24^th General Convocation (Phase II) of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, held on 27^th July 2023.

Mohomad Ifham was awarded with the Gold Medal for Best Undergraduate Researcher of Computing at the General Convocation of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, 2021.

Final year undergraduate Nayanajith Priyasad became the regional winner in the category ‘Best Innovative Product/ Project - University - Sabaragamuwa Province’ for the ‘Cloud-based Marker-less Augmented Reality Platform for Mobile Devices (ARMO)’ at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards - 2022.

Sathira Umesh Bandaranayake was awarded two prestigious awards at the National ICT Awards NBQSA 2021: The Gold Award for the Best Tertiary Student Technology Project 2021 and The Most Innovative and Best Solution for Cloud Computing 2021.

Best Paper Award for the ‘Internet of Things & Robotics Track’ has been awarded to Isuru Ranapana , the paper titled “Novel Approach for Load Balancing in Mobile Cloud Computing” at 6th International Conference on Information Technology Research (ICITR 2021).

Chamith Sandagiri was awarded with the Gold Medal for Best Undergraduate Researcher of Computing at the General Convocation of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, 2020.

Chandima Nilakshi was awarded with the Gold Medal for Best Undergraduate Researcher of Computing at the General Convocation of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, 2019.

ABR Lakmali was awarded with the certificate for the best abstract presentation of the Business and Economics Track at Rajarata International Research Conference.

DMSH Dissanayaka was awarded with the certificate for the best poster presentation in the Engineering, Technology and Physical Sciences Discipline at the 6th International Conference on Multidisciplinary approaches.

Banujan Kuhaneswaran was awarded with the Gold Medal for Best Undergraduate Researcher of Computing at the General Convocation of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, 2018.
