Outstanding Research Achievement – Best Research Paper Award at AIRC 2026!

The Faculty of Computing, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, proudly congratulates K.W.H.M.R.K.S. Elkaduwa, a student from the Department of Software Engineering, and her supervisor P.K.D.K. Kaushalya on receiving the prestigious Best Research Paper Award for the track Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the APIIT International Research Conference (AIRC) 2026.

The conference was held on 1 October 2026 at the Commercial Credit Academy, Bolgoda, Sri Lanka, organised by the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) in partnership with the University of Staffordshire, UK.

Research Paper Title: “Safety-Aware Human-AI Complaint Routing for Bribery and Corruption Allegations: A CIABOC-Oriented Prototype”

The award recognises the research contribution and innovative potential of this work in exploring human–AI collaboration, safety-aware complaint routing, and the application of artificial intelligence to the handling of bribery and corruption allegations.

The Faculty of Computing is immensely proud of this achievement, which demonstrates our students' growing engagement in research, artificial intelligence, innovation, and solving real-world societal challenges through technology.
