The IEEE Computer Society (CS) Student Branch Chapter of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka operates with a dynamic community composed of IEEE members and dedicated volunteers. The IEEE CS Chapter offers vital technical information, community services, and tailored support to computing professionals and students worldwide, empowering them to advance in their academic and professional careers.

In 2022, the IEEE Sri Lanka Section approved the establishment of the IEEE CS Student Branch Chapter of SUSL, marking a historic milestone for the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. As a result, the installation of the first Executive Committee for the term 2024/2025 of the IEEE CS Student Branch Chapter of SUSL occurred on September 10^th, 2024.

The IEEE CS Student Branch Chapter aims to create computer science, and technology opportunities for students to engage in a collaborative, innovative, and knowledge-driven environment. The primary purpose of the IEEE CS Student Branch Chapter of SUSL is to promote the field of computer science and related technologies among students. This includes:
