Curriculum Development Committee

The Curriculum Development Committee (CDC) of the Faculty of Computing is charged with ensuring that curriculum development and evaluation are conducted in accordance with established protocols and in complete conformity with the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF), and the curriculum guidelines by relevant professional bodies including the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Association for Information Systems (AIS),  the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The Committee is also responsible for incorporating into its curricula the norms and regulations introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka and the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

The CDC revises and reviews new and revised curriculum guidelines as well as curriculum proposals for all credited and non-credited courses, major changes to or deletions of current courses, and suggestions for credit or non-credit courses based on the feedback from stakeholders, estimates of the labor market, and developing trends in higher education around the world.
