Applications Now Open for Diploma in Software Engineering (DSE)! - 2026 Intake

The Centre for Open and Distance Learning at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka is now accepting applications for the 2026 intake of the Diploma in Software Engineering (DSE).

Blending solid theoretical grounding with hands-on practical training, the DSE programme prepares learners with the core competencies needed to work confidently as software engineers and IT practitioners.

  • Schedule: Weekend Classes (Sundays) – Hybrid Mode

  • Course Fee: Rs. 43,000 (Payable in 2 Installments)

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission for DSE, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Passed the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) [G.C.E. (A/L)] Examination or an equivalent qualification.
  • Successfully completed a foundational IT-related program equivalent to SLQF Level 2 or NVQ Level 4, as approved by the University Senate.
