Congratulations to Team Zyndicate on securing 2nd place at PovertyHack 2025!

We are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Zyndicate team for securing 2nd Place at PovertyHack 2025, a prestigious inter-university hackathon focused on Leveraging Technology and Innovation to Alleviate Poverty.

PovertyHack 2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS) in collaboration with the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL), brought together talented undergraduates from universities across the country to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions addressing real-world poverty-related challenges.

The competition demanded not only strong technical expertise but also critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of social impact. Amidst intense competition and many impressive submissions, the team distinguished themselves with a well-conceptualised solution, practical innovation, and outstanding teamwork, earning them a well-deserved 2nd place.

The team comprised five dedicated and talented members: V.A. Wijesakare, D.B.K. Weerasekara, K.A.W. Heshan Navindu, Pinil Dissanayake, and D.V.D. Kalubowila. Their achievement reflects their commitment, problem-solving skills, and passion for using technology as a tool for social good.

We are immensely proud of this remarkable accomplishment. Their success at PovertyHack 2025 highlights the importance of innovation with purpose and reinforces our belief in empowering young minds to contribute meaningfully to national and global challenges.

We wish the team continued success and look forward to seeing their future achievements in technology, research, and social innovation.
