Undergraduate Excellence in Global Open-Source Mentorship!

We are delighted to congratulate one of our final-year undergraduates, Mr. Wikum Weerakutti, on successfully completing his tenure as a Primary Mentor for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2025. He was selected as a Primary Mentor for OpenMRS Inc., one of the most impactful global open-source healthcare organizations, under this prestigious international program.

Notably, his journey with open-source began during his early undergraduate years, where he actively contributed as a developer, gradually growing into a leadership and mentorship role on a global platform. This remarkable achievement is a testament to his technical expertise, leadership, and long-standing commitment to open-source innovation.

It brings immense pride to our faculty, and it highlights the global recognition earned by our students through dedication, consistency, and excellence. We wish him continued success in his future endeavors and look forward to seeing his contributions create meaningful impact in the computing domain.
