Congratulations, Team UI Rebels, for winning 1st Runner-Up!

We are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Team UI REBELS for securing the 1st Runner-Up position at AlgoArena, a competitive and intellectually engaging algorithm-based competition.

AlgoArena was organised by the Leo Club in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and was successfully held on 10th January 2026, from 8.00 a.m. onwards, at the Board Room, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event brought together talented undergraduates who demonstrated strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise.

Amidst a highly competitive environment, Team UI REBELS stood out with their logical precision, effective teamwork, and innovative approach to algorithmic challenges. Their performance reflected not only their sound technical knowledge but also their ability to think critically under time constraints and collaborate seamlessly as a team.

The team included Nisalka Sasindi, Yashodara Nipuni, Thisara Chethani, and Dewmi Gunawardena. This achievement is a testament to the team’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. It highlights the growing potential of our students and their capability to excel in competitive, real-world problem-solving platforms.

We are immensely proud of Team UI REBELS and their outstanding accomplishment. Their success serves as an inspiration to fellow students to embrace challenges, sharpen their skills, and strive for excellence.
