Mock Interview Session: Preparing Future IT Professionals
On January 19th, 2025, two batches of undergraduates from the Faculty of Computing at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka took part in an engaging Mock Interview Session as they are preparing to embark on their upcoming internships. Organized by the Professional Development Committee of the faculty, this impactful event was held online via Zoom and featured the participation of distinguished alumni who are now industry leaders across various IT domains. The event was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Professor S. Vasanthapriyan, Chair of the Professional Development Committee, Mr. Kalinga Gunawardhana and the academic staff members, alumni members and students of the faculty.
This session was a resounding success, offering students valuable insights and experiences of the interview process. It provided a unique opportunity to interact with seasoned professionals and gain practical advice on mastering interview techniques, handling challenging questions, and staying informed about current industry trends.
The interactive format of the event encouraged meaningful discussions on career pathways and proved to be a powerful stepping stone, equipping students with essential skills and confidence as they prepare for their internships and future careers in the ever-evolving IT industry.
