Celebrating Year 01 of Faculty of Computing, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka!
We are delighted to mark a momentous milestone as we celebrate the first-year anniversary of the Faculty of Computing at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
Founded as the 9th Faculty of SUSL by an Order under the Gazette Extraordinary 2312/14 on 27th December 2022, our journey began with the House Warming Ceremony on the 2nd January 2023. From its inception as the Department of Computing and Information Systems at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, we have evolved into the dynamic and thriving Faculty of Computing today.
In this transformative year, under the dedicated leadership, guidance, and mentoring of our ever-energetic academic staff, we've explored new computing disciplines, strengthened our alumni support, and fostered enhanced collaboration with industry networks. Our vibrant student community hailing from every corner of Sri Lanka which is not only rich in computing talent but also encompasses individuals with diverse interests—from aesthetics to sports, and a deep sense of social responsibility, serves as a beacon for an exciting future ahead.
As we celebrate this significant milestone, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to shaping our collective experience at the Faculty of Computing. Your support has been instrumental in our journey, and we look forward to continued growth and success in the years to come.
