Summary

The chapter investigates the relationship between employee attitudes and the quality of Ayurvedic drug manufacturing in Sri Lanka. The study formulated a conceptual model around job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job involvement as independent variables, and process quality of Ayurveda drug manufacturing as the dependent variable.

The findings of the study suggest that job satisfaction and job involvement have a positive and significant impact on the process quality of Ayurveda drug manufacturing. This indicates that employees who are satisfied with their jobs and involved in their work contribute to higher process quality. On the other hand, there was a slight negative relationship between organizational commitment and process quality, suggesting that high levels of organizational commitment may not always directly correlate with improved process quality.

These results highlight the importance of considering employee attitudes and engagement in improving the quality of Ayurvedic drug manufacturing. Organizations may benefit from focusing on enhancing job satisfaction and promoting greater job involvement among employees to improve overall process quality.
