School Students from Ratnapura and Kegalle districts can now enroll in Certificate and Diploma programs, offered in collaboration with the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council and the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. These programs aim to equip Grade 9 to 11 students with programming skills. 

On February 7th, 2024, the Faculty of Geomatics entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Water Management Institution (IWMI) to facilitate knowledge sharing and research and development, specifically focusing on Remote Sensing within the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS. The documents were signed by the Vice Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and the Director General of IWMI.

The 28th University Day of SUSL was celebrated with pride on 02nd February, 2024 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Management Studies with the participation of the Vice-chancellor, distinguished guests, Deans of the faculties, Heads of departments, members of the Academic, Administrative and Nonacademic staff, and students.
