W.M.S.G.Sewwandi, a second year undergraduate of the Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education won the silver medal in the senior 68 kg category of 8th South Asian Karate Championship held from 16/07/2024 to 21/07/2024 in Bhutan - Thimphu. She has also represented Sabaragamuwa University in inter university and Sri Lanka university games and won gold medals.

The Workshop on “Entrepreneurship Full of Virtues” was successfully conducted on the 24th of April 2024. It was organized by the Practical Training Unit (PTU) of the FSSL as Episode 02 of the "Career Craft" workshop series for the students in the faculty.
