1.  Workshop on Gender Awareness
The workshop on “Gender Awareness” organized by the Faculty of Technology and the Center for Gender Equity and Equality of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, was successfully held on 05th May 2022 at the Staff Development Centre of SUSL.

Ms. RanminiVithanagama, Social Inclusion and Gender Consultant from the Sri Lanka Resident Mission, ADB and Ms. NadhiyaNajab, Senior Research Professional from the Center for Poverty Analysis (CEPA) conducted this workshop. The Academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty of Technology and other faculties/divisions (academic/non-academic) of SUSL actively participated in the workshop.

2.    Training-of-Trainers (ToT) Session on the new course unit titled “Learning to Live with Diversity”.

The ToT session was organized by the Center for Gender Equity and Equality of theSabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and the University Grants Commission.
The training session was conducted for the nominated academic staff members of each faculty, on 21st of December 2022, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Council Chamber of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

3.    An Awareness Program on “Demonstrating gender-based diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to unleash the collective systemic potential” was conducted for the staff/students of SUSL, parallel to the 3rd International Conference of Advanced Research in Computing, ICARC 2023, SUSL. Organized by the Faculty of Computing and CGEE, SUSL.

4.    Two work shop sessions on “Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Sri Lankan State Universities and Gender Sensitivity Among University Staff”, organized by the Faculty of Technology and the Center for Gender Equity and Equality of SUSL, was successfully held on 14th September 2023, at the SDC, SUSL.
