Oxford university press displays its products on the platform to support the patrons, in administering and navigating to the purchased content. To make the research journey better they have organized a webinar to explore the new interface and the homepages for Oxford Scholarship Online, Oxford Handbooks Online, Oxford Medicine Online, Oxford Clinical Psychology and Very Short Introductions.

Session 1 – “How to Publish with Oxford Journals” (useful for Law, Humanities, Medicine & Social Sciences)
Phase 1: A two hour session covering the basics of 'How to Publish with Oxford Journals.'
At the end of the session each attendee would be given a personalized e-Certificate of Attendance from Oxford University Press.
The topics covered would be –
- How to turn your thesis into an article?
- Differences between a thesis and an article?
- How to write a manuscript
- Types of journal manuscripts
- How to select which journal you want to write for
- How do you upload a manuscript on the OUP platform – Article submission process
- The journal publishing cycle
- What is Open Access – Kinds of Open Access
Phase 2: Rolled out immediately after completing the 1st Phase, the attendees will be given a Quiz/Assignment on Survey Monkey.
Only those attendees who have completed the 1st Phase will be eligible to participate. The minimum marks required is 70% after which we would be sending a personalized e-Certificate of Completion.
Phase 3: Roll out A Curated Collection of Resources from Oxford University Press after a month of the session.
Phase 4: ‘Star Plus Award’ – A Quiz to be sent out to the participants after a month of sending the email. Each participant would be given a Star Plus User Certificate if they score 70% and above. To answer the quiz they will have to log in to Oxford Academic and find answers to questions from the site.
The training is complimentary and students, teachers and librarians are free to attend.
Session 2: Research Basics with University Press Scholarship Online – Citations (4 phases)
Phase 1: A two hour session
The topics covered would be –
- What is a Citation
- Why do you need to Cite
- How to Cite
- Citation Styles – which style should be used (with examples of each kind)
- Citation Management Tools
Learning Outcome - At the end of the session, the learners will be able to walk away with the concept of Citations, why it should be done, the different kinds of Citations and which one works best for each subject as well as a clear understanding of Citation Management Tools. On the whole it would work as a clear Research Guide for a learner while preparing his paper for submission.
Each participant would be given a personalized Certificate of Attendance after the session

Awareness program on Predatory publishing
Predatory publishing (also known as fake publishers/ Journals) has become a greater threaten to the quality of scholarly work create by the academia. The best practice to prevent being a “prey” to such “predatory” publishing platform is to be aware enough yourself and evade from publishing.
Expected outcomes
This awareness workshop is expect to aware you to identify potentially predatory journals/publishers and evade publish your valued new knowledge with a better Scholarly communication channel.
