In the central library, there are about 86,500 books including 59,000 lending  books. The collection is divided in to three sections and housed separately.  The central library organised their collection using by the Dewey Decimal  Classification (DDC) system and the publications were catalogued according  to the Anglo American Cataloguing Rules & Regulations 2nd edition(AACR II)  and the library used the Library of Congress Subject Headings for information  retrieval.
