28th University Day

The 28th University Day of SUSL was celebrated with pride on 02nd February, 2024 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Management Studies with the participation of the Vice-chancellor, distinguished guests, Deans of the faculties, Heads of departments, members of the Academic, Administrative and Nonacademic staff, and students. The Sabaragamuwa University paid its tribute to the Best Entrepreneur of the Sabaragamuwa Province Mr. SamanUpasena, for the contribution he had made to the Economy of the country. Chief Secretary of Sabaragamuwa Provincecouncil Mr. Mahinda S. Weerasooriya Participated as the Chief Guest.Meanwhile, the university also recognized the contributions made by members of the Academic, Administrative, and Non-academic staff for the upliftment of the university standards and sustainability of the university. The University Day ceremony ran with the several sessions of awarding.
The awards ceremony included Long Service Awards, Service Appreciation awards for Academic, Administrative and Non-Academic staff members, Vice-Chancellor special Appreciation awards in the year 2023, Best Researcher award in 2023, Best Student award in 2023, and Best Sportsman & Best Sportswoman awards in 2023.
