JENESYS 2022

Mr. G.I.S. Alwis, a student in his final year at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, has been selected as one of ten members from Sri Lanka to visit Japan during February 2023 as part of the Japan – SAARC Exchange programme – JENESYS 2022 organized by JICE (Japan International Cooperation Center). The team consists of four high school students accompanied by a supervisor and five undergraduates from Sabaragamuwa, Jaffna, Peradeniya, Ruhuna, and Uva-wellasa universities. This initiative was designed to provide the groundwork for lasting friendship and collaboration between the people of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, it promotes familiarity with Japan's economy, agriculture, society, history, diversified culture, politics, and diplomatic ties.
