The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with the Faculty Quality Assurance Cell (FQAC) of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences conducted a one-day workshop on " Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)” on 25th November 2019. The workshop was conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

This workshop was conducted aiming (i) to provide GLP basics on general laboratory practices, (ii) to provide basics on lab safety management and (iii) to provide basics on welfare of animals use in scientific testing and research.

Academic supportive staff, laboratory staff and the Livestock Specializing students of Year III Semester I and Year IV Semester I from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences participated to the workshop.

Prof. DMA Gunaratne, Professor, Dr. HAD Ruwandeepika and Dr. RMAS Bandara, Senior Lecturers from the Department of Livestock Production, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences contributed to the workshop as resource persons.
This workshop was coordinated by Mr. Sarath Patabandi, Lecturer (Probationary) attached to the Department of Livestock Production, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.
