Training Program for Farmers

The farmer training program was conducted on 2026/06/12 as a practical component in Health Management of Livestock species and Fish subject (LP 41082) with the participation of 43 final year students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, under the guidance of the course coordinator, Professor T. Sanjeewa Prasad Jayaweera. Dairy and poultry farmers in Kalthota and Balangoda areas were visited and knowledge and experience were exchanged between the undergraduates and the farmers. Farmers were given educational leaflets and booklets prepared by the students to improve the routing farming activities and students learnt a lot from farmers about the real livestock farming activities.
