UN Climate Change Conference of Youth and Conference of Parties

We are glad to feature our employee Mr. Mohamed Shafras who was one of the Sri Lankan representee at the United Nations Climate Change Conferences. Mr. Shafras is affiliated at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The 16th United Nations Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY16) was held from 28 -31 October and the Conference of Parties (COP26) from 31 Oct – 13 Nov in Glasgow, Scotland. Mr. Shafras was one of the youth delegates selected to represent Sri Lanka for the COY16. Further, he has also attended COP26. It is noteworthy that during the conference he has given an interview to a journalist and it has been published in an international newspaper.
