With the hope of enhancing the academia-industry cooperation in the university culture, the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka has officially entered into a licensing agreement with Cargills Ceylon PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading food retailing and manufacturing company, in a pioneering initiative to commercialize a Ceylon Cinnamon incorporated innovative beverage developed by Prof. Achini de silva and her research team. This product was developed as a collaborative research effort between the Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, and Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operations.
This momentous occasion was held on 14th December 2022 at the Board Room of the Vice Chancellor’s Office.
