The UBLC of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka is stretching out a helping hand to SMEs located in the region to address the issues faced by the SMEs with regard to intellectual property. We have a pool of intellectuals in the university depending on the technological and intellectual eminence of academics to provide technical assistance for SMEs. The UBLC will hold the responsibility to properly coordinate and administer the entire interaction process.

Scope of the Consultancy Service
- Provide Awareness and Training on Intellectual Property (IP) for traditional communities and SMEs
- Assisting in Technological Information on Patent Drafting
- Providing services related to patent application filing and processing
- Provide the technical assistance in technology licensing process
- Assist in developing business models with IP
- Provide knowledge-based services to further enhance the innovative ideas of SMEs into a marketable product or service.
