Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka through University Business Linkage Cell has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ethimale Plantation (Pvt) Ltd. on 26th April 2022 to establish mutually beneficial collaborations to promote cooperation in Agribusiness and Food Science Research between the Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Ethimale Plantation (Pvt) Ltd. The agreement was signed by The Vice-Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University; Senior Prof. Udaya Rathnayaka and the Chief Operations Officer of Ethimale Plantation (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Dammika Sarath Wijesekara and Deputy General Manager-Plantation, Mr. E. Nayana De Z Abesekara. The agreement was witnessed by the Director of the UBLC; Prof. D.A.I. Dayaratne and the Project Coordinator; Prof. S.H.P. Malkanthi on behalf of the university and Secretary to CEO, Ms. K.M. Hayesha Roshini Konara and I. T. & P. Coordinator, Mr. W.B.C. Wijayamunige on behalf of Ethimale Plantation (Pvt) Ltd. As agreed, the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka shall provide relevant expert information and facilitation for making this cooperation successful and Ethimale Plantation (Pvt) Ltd. shall affirm the industrial, research and academic collaboration. Accordingly, through this agreement both the parties shall conduct, promote and encourage knowledge-based activities etc. that would enable the candidates to take their initiative to a global market.
