University Business Linkage Cell has conducted a meeting with Lanka Sugar Company Pvt Ltd, Pelwatte to establish mutual beneficial linkages through a research team in Faculty of Geomatics in conducting collaborative research with regard to monitor the health conditions of the sugar cane plantations and the maturity levels of plants using remote sensing techniques and dissemination of knowledge for the purpose of enhancing the sugar production as well as search avenues for further collaborations. The meeting was held on 13^th January 2022 via Zoom platform. Director/UBLC, Prof. Indunil Dayaratne, Project Coordinator/RIC 24, Dr. Milinda Piyasena, officials from the company, research team members and UBLC staff members were present at the meeting.
