Initial discussions were made with Lanka Fruit & Vegetable Producers, Processors and Exporters Association on 04th June 2021 to commercialize “A Jack Fruit Peel Based Packaging Material” invented by Dr. Janitha Liyanage and his research team, Faculty of Applied Sciences. Based on the meeting, a report was submitted for EU-Switch Asia Grant Aid for Sustainable Consumption & Production to get the funds for further development of the packaging material.
