University Business Linkage Cell has conducted a meeting with Cinnamon Island Exports (Pvt) Ltd. on 18^th May 2022 via Zoom Platform to pitch three Ceylon Cinnamon Beverages; A Cinnamon Beer with Cinnamomum zeylanicum, A Cinnamon Cola with Cinnamomum zeylanicum, A Cinnamon Elixir with Cinnamomum zeyalanicum invented by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. Director/UBLC, Prof. Indunil Dayaratne, Project Coordinator/RIC 16 Prof. Achini De Silva, Deputy Project Coordinator/RIC 16, Dr. Chathurika Jeewanthi, Director/Cinnamon Island Exports (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Bimal De Silva and other officials from the company, research team members and UBLC staff members were present at the meeting. Mr. Tharaka Weddagala – Research Assistant/ RIC 16 presented a presentation to introduce their newly invented beverages. Delegates from the company expressed their willingness to establish a new business model based on our Cinnamon Beverages.
