UBLC is proud to announce the official signing of two Exclusive Licensing Agreements with Lalan Rubbers Pvt Ltd, marking the university’s 6th licensing agreement. This partnership aims to commercialize our very own innovative Ceylon cinnamon beverages.

to Prof. Achini De Silva and her research team from the Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and AHEAD Operations for their exceptional work. This momentous occasion was held on April 10, 2023, at the Vice Chancellor’s Office.

The agreement was signed by our Vice-Chancellor, Senior Prof. Udaya Rathnayaka and witnessed by Director-UBLC, Prof. Indunil Dayaratne and Project Coordinator of the AHEAD Grant RIC No: 16, Prof. Achini De Silva on behalf of the university. Mr. R. Jayatilleke, Director of LALAN Rubbers (Private) Limited and General Manager – Estates Management, Mr. Albert Peries, signed on behalf of the company, while Deputy General Manager, Mr. Nishantha Seneviratne witnessed the agreement, along with the Assistant Manager – Estates, Mr. A. Ariyapala Silva.
