- Submersible Fish Tank Filter with Self Cleaning ability invented by Prof. Chaminda Walpita and his research team – Faculty of Agricultural Sciences
- Fruit Fly (Tephritid) Repellent Cushioning material invented by Mr. Niroshan Jayasooriya and his research team – Faculty of Applied Sciences
