The SPIRIT ERASMUS+ project started the Life Long Learning training series under its dissemination and exploitation work package in collaboration with the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. As part of this series, a training programme on โ€œSports Injury Prevention and Basic First Aidโ€ was conducted on 29th of December 2022 which offered an excellent opportunity to the athletes, who had participated in the inter-university games in Sri Lanka, to raise their awareness of the benefits of sports injury prevention and basic first aid.

Mr. Chamila Seneviratna, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy of General Sir John Kothalawala Defense University, and Mr. Udeesh Jayasinghe, a registered physiotherapist, conducted the programme. SUSL members of the SPIRIT ERASMUS+ project, Ms. Thanuja Liyanage, Ms. Harshani Perera, Ms. Waruni Rupasinghe and Mr. Rajamanthree actively engaged in organizing the event.
