3MT Competition 2023 – SUSL

We are delighted to inform you that the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka organizes the Three-minute thesis competition (3MT) in line with the Annual Research Sessions (2023), with permission from the University of Queensland.

3MT:

-        Requires to effectively explain the research in three minutes in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience

-        Develops students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills

-        A vibrant and enjoyable for the scientific community

Eligibility:

To be eligible, an applicant must:

1.     be a permanent/ temporary academic staff member of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka or a postgraduate student of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, SUSL; &

2.     be in the second or higher year of an MPhil or a PhD program or have completed the MPhil/PhD degree between December 2022 and December 2023

Awards:

-        The first, second and third winners will be awarded an attractive financial reward

-        The first place will be nominated for the University Day Best 3MT Presenter award

-        All participants will receive a university certificate and encouragement for their postgraduate/higher studies scholarship securing process
