With the support of Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) project we fund innovations to create the next game-changing technologies in need of research and development to create new products, services, and other scalable solutions. The project we fund must have the potential to positively benefit society and to lead to significant outcomes in the commercial market.
The evaluation criteria include Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Market Demand and Trends, Innovativeness, Contribution to UBLC’s Objectives, Commercialization Potential, Technical Feasibility, Budget and Resource Management, Collaboration with Commercial Partners, and Intellectual Property (IP) Potential.
Maximum grant amount Rs. 500,000.00
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be permanent academic staff members of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka
- Projects should meet Technology Readiness Level 4 (TRL 4). However, projects at TRL 3 may also be considered after careful evaluation.
How to Apply
Interested applicants are invited to submit their Project Proposals along with the EOIs to UBL Cell through the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty and the Head of the Department.
