
Fish paste is a suitable food vehicle for Sri Lankan people. But fish paste is not common in Sri Lanka; it is popular in Japan and Korea, known as surimi. Most people do not prefer to consume these types of fish due to their strong muddy odor and high bone ratio. Moreover, fish contains a high amount of protein and other nutrients in an as easily digestible way. As a result of this, utilizing this very small-size tilapia fish for paste preparation gives plenty of nutrition at an affordable price.
