Peanut shells are bulky waste generated in large amounts. Most peanut shells are often burned, dumped, or left to deteriorate naturally. Peanut shells contain high fiber content. Therefore, we utilize the peanut peel waste and make a hard bioplastic from these fibers by adding binding agents.

This bioplastic is 100% natural and biodegradable and compostable. Plastics (including BPA-free plastics) leach estrogen-like chemicals into food. Peanut shell-based bioplastics are non-toxic and won’t leach chemicals into food.

Commercial Applicability

Can be used as Egg Trays, Spoons, Plates, Forks, Lunch Boxes, Agricultural Products (Cell Seed Starter Trays, Seed Cups), Cutting Boards and Containers
