The Annual Cricket Encounter 2025 organized by the Sports Subcommittee of the Geomatics Students' Union, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, was held at Matta Playground between students and academic staff. The exciting T20 match showcased fun, teamwork, and friendly spirit, a true reflection of the strong bond and unity within the Faculty of Geomatics.

“Dharanisara” is a talent show organized by the first year brotherhood of the Faculty of Geomatics at the J. W. Dayananda Somasundara Memorial Auditorium. This event was held to identify the diverse talents of students and provide an opportunity to develop and showcase their skills through various performances and activities.

“Diyawara” is a supportive seminar program organized by the Educational Subcommittee of the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Geomatics. This supportive seminar program focused on G.C.E. O/L Mathematics and was conducted at Buththala Gonaganara School and Badulla Sri Maliyadeva School.

The Geomatics Premier League was played at the Hunduwa Playground with the participation of lecturers and students of the Faculty of Geomatics. It was held to bring together the lecturers and students of the faculty in a friendly sporting event.

The friendly Cricket Match organized by the Sports Sub Committee of the students’ union of the Faculty of Geomatics which was played at the Main Playground aiming to develop the friendship and brotherhood between the students of Faculty of Geomatics and the Faculty of Medicine.

“Mansandiya” is a musical event organized by the Arts Subcommittee of the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Geomatics to develop and showcase the musical talents of the students.

The New Year festival was celebrated at the faculty premises with the participation of both lecturers and students of the Faculty of Geomatics. It was organized to strengthen the bond between lecturers and students while enjoying traditional games and cultural activities in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

As the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Geomatics of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, we were able to actively participate for Nova Expo 2025, the educational exhibition which was held on 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th of August 2025 organized by the Horana Widhyarathna Pirivena.

Under the Arts Subcommittee of the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Geomatics students built a Poson lantern as a part of the program series of the celebration of Posom Full Moon Poya Day.

“Sahasras - 2025” was held on 15th October 2025 at the Faculty of Geomatics, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, to provide surveying theory and practical knowledge for the students of Ratnapura St. Aloysius' College.

On 05th of September 2025, the Faculty of Geomatics family reunited after 2 years at Highlanders Eco & Adventure Resort for an unforgettable night filled with laughter, music, and cherished memories. The evening was a perfect blend of friendship, joy, and celebration, bringing together students and graduates under one roof.
