01). Awareness Programs on Grievance Redressal Policy and SOPs for Non-academic Staff of the SUSL

A series of   Awareness Programs on Grievance Redressal Policy and SOPs for non-academic staff of the SUSL was organized by CQA in the month of May, 2022 with the expertise contribution of Dr. H. P Rasika Priyankara, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Management Studies, SUSL, Dr. Sandun J Perera, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Applied Sciences, SUSL and Mr. Saman Uyangoda, Registrar, SUSL as the resource persons for the program. This series was conducted over two days with four sessions with the participation of 257 participants.

02). Awareness Programs on Grievances Redressal Policy and SOP, for Grievance Handlers/ Administrative Staff

An Awareness Programs on Grievances Redressal Policy and SOP, for Grievance Handlers/ Administrative Staff was conducted by the CQA on 29^th of June at the Staff Development Center with the invaluable contribution of Dr. H. P Rasika Priyankara, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Management Studies, SUSL, Dr.Sandun J Perera, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Applied Sciences, SUSL and Mr. Saman Uyangoda, Registrar, SUSL as the resource persons of the program. The CQA was able to aware 61 participants through the awareness.

03). Advisory Session on “Way Forward in Quality Assurance Activities of SUSL

An advisory Session on “Way forward in Quality Assurance, SUSL” was successfully conducted by CQA via Zoom platform on 22nd August 2022 with the participation of the members of the SSC QA and members of the QA cells, SUSL. Prof. Thilak Gamage, Director, Quality Assurance Council, UGC, contributed as the main resource person of this session. The main objective was to have a discussion on QA activities and way forward for QA activities of SUSL and 49 participants joined the session via Zoom.

04). Awareness program on Mentoring for Academic Staff, SUSL

The CQA was able to conduct the “Awareness program on Mentoring for Academic Staff, SUSL” on 26th, November, 2022 at the Board Room of the Vice Chancellor, SUSL. Dr. W.M.J. Welgama the Chair of the committee contributed as the key resource person of the awareness program and other committee members Prof. W. Manoj Ariyarathne, Prof. Aruna Shanthaarachchi , Prof. H.M.S. Priyanath and the Director /CQA Prof. H.A.D. Ruwandipeeka played their role as the resource persons for the session. The target audience of the awareness was all the deans and departments heads of the SUSL and 19 participants were engaged to the session.  

05). Awareness Programme on Formulating Policy Repository for SUSL

Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) conducted this awareness programme for the members assisting the formulation of Policy Repository for SUSL. It was held on 4^th November, 2022 at the Staff Development Centre with the participation of 28 participants. Mr. I.D.K.L. Fernando, Senior Assistant Librarian contributed as the resource person for the session. The main objectives of this awareness were,

•           To aware the members on importance of collecting policies for creating the policy repository
•       To aware the members on the methods of collecting policies for creating the policy repository
•       To take ideas from members to smooth the process of collecting policy repository

06). Workshop on Financial Procedures for Administrative Staff of SUSL

we were competent enough to reach the goal by organizing a workshop on “Financial Procedures “for the Administrative Staff members (Assistant Registrars and Assistant Bursar) of SUSL on the 13^th of December 2022 at the Staff Development Center with the participation of all the invitees (17). Mr. K.A.R.S. Jayakody (Bursar, SUSL) and Mr. W.A.M.P. Senadheera (Senior Assistant Bursar, SUSL) were the resource persons and they shared their expertise knowledge and invaluable experiences with the participants.

07). Awareness Programme on Policy and SOP on Internal Student Grievance Redressal for Student Councilors 

An Awareness Programme on “Policy and SOP on Internal Student Grievance Redressal was successfully organized and completed by the Centre for Quality Assurance, SUSL by targeting the Student Counsellors of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka on 15th of December, 2022 at the Staff Development Center. The prime objective of this awareness programme was to aware the student counsellors of SUSL on the newly prepared Policy and SOP on Internal Student Grievances Redressal and for that 33 student counsellors participated to the session.  Dr. Sandun J. Perera, the Chair of the committee and Dr. Rasika Priyankara, committee member contributed as the key resource persons of the awareness program.
