The candidate should have at least one qualification of the following categories.

Eligibility requirements for the MA

1. Postgraduate diploma in Education (English Medium)
2. A Bachelor’s Honors degree in English and/or ELT
3. A Bachelor’s Honors degree in Linguistics (English Medium)
4. A Bachelor’s Honors degree in Translation Studies
5. A Bachelor’s degree in English medium with teaching English as a subject and one year’s teaching experience in a government or government-accredited private school.
6. A Bachelor’s degree in English medium with teaching English as a subject
7. A Bachelor’s degree, with two years’ experience teaching English at a government affiliated/recognised university or school, OR Postgraduate certificates in English Language Teaching, Teaching English as a Second Language, or Teaching English as a Foreign Language

Eligibility requirement for PGD

1. Postgraduate diploma in Education (English Medium)
2. A Bachelor’s Honors degree in English and/or ELT
3. A Bachelor’s Honors degree in Linguistics (English Medium)
4. A Bachelor’s Honors degree in Translation Studies
5. A Bachelor’s degree with teaching English as a subject
6. A Bachelor’s degree with teaching English as a subject and one year’s teaching experience in a government or government-accredited private school.
7. A Bachelor’s degree with two years’ teaching experience at a government affiliated/recognised university or school, OR Postgraduate certificates in English Language Teaching, Teaching English as a Second Language, or Teaching English as a Foreign Language
8. Any other relevant qualification from a recognised university or institute (English Medium) which is acceptable to the Senate of SUSL

Selection Criteria

Applicants are short-listed depending on the number of applications received and will be called for an interview for the final selection. If the applications are very much in excess an aptitude test may be held.
