The message of the Dean Welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages (FSSL). The Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka is one the pioneering faculties in the university and it commissioned its study programs in 1996. At present, the faculty consists of six departments namely the Department of Economics & Statistics, the Department of English Language Teaching, the Department of Geography & Environmental Management, the Department of Languages, the Department of Social Sciences, and the Department of Information Technology. FSSL presently offers fifteen unique degree programs in line with the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF)-UGC.
