WEBINAR SERIES ON “FINANCIAL MARKETS,

INSTRUMENTS AND INSTITUTIONS”

The webinar series on the stock market and securities, debt market and securities, unit trusts were

conducted on 13th, 20th, and 27th of January 2021 from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. via zoom for the first
year second semester students of the Department of Accountancy and Finance, Faculty of Management
Studies of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Prof. Lalith P Samarakoon, Professor of Finance,
Opus College of Business of the University of St. Thomas, the session was successfully conducted. It
was organized by the AHEAD Department Project, Department of Accountancy & Finance, Faculty of

Management Studies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. The purpose of the session was to
enhance the undergraduates' knowledge regarding the regulation and operationalization of financial
markets, financial instruments, and financial institutions in the local context. After completing the

sessions, the undergraduates were expected to enhance and upgrade their knowledge in finance
frequently by considering these valuable insights.
