05 December 2018: SER Writing workshops on Institutional Review

A workshop on “procedure of Institutional Review in compliance with UGC IR manual” was conducted by the IQAC of SUSL on 4TH December 2018. The objectives of the workshop were to identify the lists of processes and evidences for standards that are already existing and to identify gaps in each criterion and for assisting the writing of SER of IR iin compliance with UGC manual. Groups assigned for the compilation of SER for IR were among the participants.

20 and 21 August 2018: Workshop on Quality Assurance in Higher Education

A two day workshop on “Quality Assurance in Higher Education” was conducted by the IQAC of SUSL on 20th and 21st August 2018 to aware the staff of the SUSL on Quality Assurance. Prof. Harischandra Abeygunawardena, Former Vice Chancellor of University of Peradeniya Prof. Kalyani Perera, Former Consultant on Quality Assurance/HETC Project, were participated as resource persons of the workshop. The objectives of the workshop were to create awareness among the higher management, academic staff and administrative staff on the concept of quality assurance and the components of Sri Lanka Quality Assurance System, foster the institutional capacity to internalize quality culture within the University and facilitate the preparation of SER for Institutional Review. Officers from higher Management (VC, Deans, Heads of Departments, Registrar, Bursar and Librarian), Academic Staff, Executive Staff, Academic Support Staff and Technical Staff of the Sabaragamuwa University were among the participants of the workshop.
